Washington - Hospital rankings are routinely carried out in the United States. Hospital ranking is considered necessary because it is a guide for the community to entrust the handling of their health problems.

The best hospital assessment conducted by US News as reported by Monday (27/7/2009) is generally an assessment of how well the hospital performs routine and standard procedures such as hospitalization, handling emergency patients and dexterity for special patients such as the heart that requires fast time.

This year, there are 21 of the best hospitals in Uncle Sam's country, of which 16 have special specialties for cancer, heart disease, respiratory disorders and urology (urinary tract). There are 4,861 hospitals in the US but only 174 hospitals were assessed because of their reputation.

Quality of care, mortality rate, gets the main portion for this assessment. An assessment was also carried out regarding the hospital's handling of complaints made by patients and their resolution.

In addition to the general public, nearly 10,000 doctors were also surveyed to appoint 5 hospitals that were considered the best for difficult cases without considering cost or location.
